How can I make these waterproof?

Hi Jonathan! You can search for third-party waterproofing or water-repelling sprays that are compatible with full-grain leather. We recommend spraying a small amount on an inconspicuous part of the shoe first before applying to the full upper.

I have hammer toe and need an above-average sized toe box. How does this shoe rate in that aspect?

I supinate ( roll to the outsides). Would this shoe work for me?

Hi Jesus! The Addiction Walker 2 is one of our Support styles. If you tend to supinate as you go through your stride, we recommend our Neutral styles. If you're looking for style with added stability, we recommend the Dyad 11.

Is this shoe slip resistant enough to wear in a restaurant kitchen?

Hi Brian! Great question! Most of our shoes are specifically designed for run performance, and don't specifically have slip resistance built into them. Though our Addiction Walker 2 shoe offers a slight friction coefficient (enough for wet pavement), they are not up to the specifications required for work shoes who have a certified skid resistance. We recommend checking out a company like Shoes for Crews to find a certified slip resistant shoe if that's an important feature.

I tried a 13N (my normal size for Brooks running shoes) but it seemed too short. Would the 14 be too large a jump to fit properly? I also wear a 13 in the adrenaline but the mesh in that shoe seems to stretch.

I wear Cascadia 14 in size 12, 2E. Can I expect this Addiction Walker 2 shoe to fit me in the same size?

Hi Stephen! If you wear a Men's size 12 Wide width (2E) in the Cascadia 14, we recommend a Men's size 12 Wide width (2E) in the Addiction Walker 2 as well.

I just bought a pair of addiction Walker 2 I have to were a special interest from my doctor. Do I remove your inside cushion or leave in in there?

I find that the insert that comes with the Walter is excellent and I have not needed to replace them with custom inserts. The quality of the shoes and inserts are excellent and I do a lot of walking on a daily basis.

Is the shoe’s leather able to be polished?

I guess it depends on what you mean by "polished". It will certainly take polish to touch up scuffs or generally improve appearance as they suffer the indignities of daily footwear, but it's soft leather, so it's never going to get a high gloss. (FWIW, i've had several of these and and its predecessor for years now, and have polished them several times to clean them up.)

These are the only shoes that don’t make my feet hurt after 12 hours on my feet. I love the all black because it doesn’t draw attention to the fact that I am not wearing dress shoes. Unfortunately, I can only wear the all black to work. Would you ever make a dressier shoe in solid colors?

Can the inserts come out for orthodics?

Yes. I do ir right away when I get a new pair. My podiatrist recommended Brooks for that reason.

If I have flat feet is this a good shoes for me?

I have flat feet and found that medical inserts are essential for me. This shoe is one of the only work-shoes that allow me to use them comfortably. They definately support my feet, my balance, and my over pronation. To the point that I must replace them at a minimum of every six months or I begin feeling pain in my feet, ankles, knees, and back. The inserts last for years, so I know that the shoe works because when I make the change, I feel better almost the same day.

Are these shoes good for hiking?

These shoes are really made for walking, general use. All depends on what kind of hiking. Light hiking is ok, They are nicely cushioned. They are not water resistant or waterproof.

Are they American made ?

These shoes has a label "Made in Vietnam". They have to be the most comfortable shoe with no break in time. Well made and last for years. Highly recommended.

Do they run true to size, smaller or bigger?

Hello. I have bought about 5 or 6 pairs over the Addiction Walkers over the years. When I first bought the original Addiction I bought my normal size 11 for shoes. I had to send it back and get an 11 1/2 to fit right. All the rest I bought as 11 1/2. This new update is the same for me. I bought an 11 1/2 and it fits right. So I guess take your chances. It will either fit or it won't, but once you find your size it will fit good.

I’m on my feet all day at work. Walking, standing, lifting, moving a lot! How durable are they for constant use all day, everyday?

I use these wonderful shoes for walking about in the neighborhood in the mornings. Coronovis has us confined to our places now. But soon I hope that i will be able to walk again in these wonderful shoes.

One color is black, what is the ohter color?

I was not aware of any color but black. I love the shoe! Wish they were available in another color. The other respondent advised he purchased an off white color. I would have purchased that color if it had been available.
